Dan left school with plans to become a maths and PE teacher.
But after realising that more time in a classroom wasn’t for him—and with some wise advice from his late father—he decided to pursue a different path. In 2002, he enrolled in an electrical course at his local college.
He spent three days a week learning hands-on with a local electrician, one day in college, and the remaining days stacking shelves at Asda. It was a busy start, but one that sparked a lasting passion for the trade.
After six solid years with the same firm, Dan took the leap into self-employment—and as they say, the rest is history.
Now on the “wrong” side of his 30s, Dan lives happily with his wife Camilla and their young family on a farm in the Herefordshire countryside.
When he’s not on the tools, he’s usually spending time outdoors—walking, playing hide and seek, building sandcastles at the beach, or growing vegetables (which mostly get eaten by the local fallow deer).
He’s a keen cook, an enthusiastic gardener, and even dabbles in archery with his compound bow.
And despite some good-natured teasing, he’s a proud fan of country music.
Dan has a real passion for domestic electrical work and loves the variety each day brings.
From simple tasks like changing a light fitting to full house rewires, he enjoys getting stuck into jobs—especially the ones other electricians call “impossible.”
With over 20 years of experience, a reputation for problem-solving, and a deep respect for his customers’ homes, Dan’s approach is always honest, thoughtful, and professional.
